Definition
A wishlist is a list of gifts you would like, which you can show to friends, family or colleagues. It usually has a name, a price, a link to the product and, if needed, a note about color or size.
Why you need one
- It is easier for the giver to choose: no guessing.
- You get what you really need instead of one more useless thing.
- Fewer duplicates: a reservation shows that a gift has already been chosen.
- It helps you understand what you want yourself.
Isn’t it awkward to ask
No. A wishlist does not demand gifts, it only suggests. People who ask “what should I give you” are grateful for a ready answer. You do not have to show it to anyone, and nobody is obliged to buy anything from it.
How to make a good wishlist
- Add eight to twelve wishes: enough for a choice, but not too many.
- Include things at different price levels, from small things to bigger purchases.
- Add links so the giver does not have to search.
- Set a priority so it is clear what matters most.
- Add a note about color, size or model.
- Keep the list up to date: remove what you have already received.
How it works in Bazhanka
In Bazhanka you create a list, add wishes from links or by hand, choose a priority (“on fire!”, “I want it”, “nice to have”) and share it by link. Friends can reserve a gift so they do not buy the same thing, and you do not see who exactly. More: Wishlists in Bazhanka.
