Personal wishlists
Keep your ideas in one place and help the people close to you choose a gift.
From your first wish to a gift
- Sign in to Bazhanka and open Lists. Use My wishes or create a separate list for an occasion.
- Give the list a name and optionally a description and event date. Choose private or link access, and decide whether you want to see reservation markers.
- Open the list and add a wish. Paste a product link and fetch its details, or fill in the fields yourself. You can also save an idea without a link.
- Check the name, price and photo, choose a priority and add a note with a size, color or other preferences. Save the wish.
- For a list shared by link or shown in the catalog, use Share and send the copied link to friends and family. They can reserve after signing in. A catalog list only allows reservations through this owner-issued link.
Questions and features
Can I have several lists?
You can make separate lists for birthdays, a new home, hobbies or things to buy for yourself. Edit the name, description and event date in the list settings.
Where can I add wishes from?
Use a product link, enter a wish yourself or choose something from the Bazhanka catalog. Autofill tries to fetch a name, price and photo, but not every shop supports it. Check the result before saving. If a shop does not provide the details, enter them yourself.
What are priorities and notes for?
The three priorities show how much you want each item. Use a note to specify a color, size, configuration or alternative. When fetching product details, you can include the product description in the note; review it and keep the useful parts.
Who can view my list?
A private personal list is only visible to you. Anyone with a link to a list shared by link can view it without an account. A catalog list is also discoverable in the catalog, where visitors can only view and copy ideas. To reserve, gift-givers need the link issued by the owner through Share and must sign in. That link can be forwarded; changing the list’s access invalidates its old reservation link.
How do reservations work?
A reservation marks a gift as taken for other gift-givers. The person who reserved it can cancel their reservation and find it under My reservations in the profile menu. Bazhanka does not buy the item or arrange delivery; the gift-giver does that separately.
Can I keep gifts a surprise?
You cannot see who reserved a gift. In your personal list settings, choose whether to show reservation markers or keep a surprise. Keeping a surprise hides the markers from you, while other gift-givers can still see them.
Can I copy or move wishes?
On someone else’s accessible list, you can copy a wish to your list or make a personal copy of the whole list when that action is available. The original stays the same. Use a wish’s menu to move your own wish between your personal lists.
What should I do after receiving a gift?
Mark your own wish as received in its menu. You can also edit or delete it. Deleting a whole list deletes its wishes too, with no way to restore them.
How do I follow someone else’s wishes?
Sign in and choose Follow list on an accessible list belonging to someone else. You will receive a notification when a new wish is added. You can unfollow at any time; following does not grant access to private lists.
