Terms of Use

These terms explain how Bazhanka works and what we expect from our users. By using the service, you agree to them.

Last updated: 4 October 2026

1. What Bazhanka is

Bazhanka is a web service where you can build wishlists, share them with others, team up in groups and play Secret Santa. The service does not sell goods and does not take payment for gifts: we only help people agree on what to give.

2. Your account

You need an account to create lists and groups and to reserve gifts. You can view a list that was shared with you by link without signing up.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you give when registering and for keeping your password safe. If you suspect that someone else has gained access to your account, change your password and write to us.

3. Your content

You keep the rights to everything you add to the service: names and descriptions of wishes, photos, notes, and the names of lists and groups. You give Bazhanka the right to store this content and to show it to the users you have given access to, so that the service can work.

By adding content, you confirm that you have the right to use it. Do not add other people’s personal data without their consent.

4. Who sees your lists

For each list you choose who can see it: only you, anyone with the link, or the members of your group. If you share a link, anyone who receives it can open the list. Send it only to people you trust.

5. Reserving gifts

Registered users can mark a wish in someone else’s list as reserved so that gifts are not duplicated. The list owner can see that a wish is reserved but not who reserved it. A reservation is not a commitment to buy the gift and does not create a contract between users.

6. Groups and Secret Santa

Members of a group can see each other’s group lists. By joining a group that has Secret Santa mode on, you agree to take part in that game until you leave the group.

Only the person themselves sees their match; the full draw is shown to nobody, including the organizer. If a member leaves after the draw, the draw is automatically repeated for the remaining members, and when only two are left the game is cancelled.

Members agree on the place and way of handing over gifts themselves, outside Bazhanka. We do not arrange delivery and do not collect addresses or phone numbers for it.

7. Shops and product links

You can save links to third-party sites in your wishes. Bazhanka tries to pull the name, price and photo from them, but does not guarantee their accuracy and is not responsible for the availability, price, quality or delivery of goods in third-party shops. You make purchases on those shops’ sites, under their terms.

8. What you must not do

We may restrict access to an account or remove content that breaks these terms.

  • break the law or violate the rights of other people;
  • publish offensive, fraudulent or illegal content;
  • pretend to be someone else;
  • try to access other people’s accounts and lists, get around the service’s limits or overload it with automated requests;
  • use the contact form or invitations for spam.

9. Liability

The service is provided “as is”. We work to keep it stable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or that content will be preserved in every circumstance. To the extent the law allows, Bazhanka is not responsible for losses linked to using the service, including the actions of other users and third-party shops.

10. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always available on this page, and the date of the last update is shown at the top. If you keep using the service after a change, that means you accept it.

11. Contact

You can send questions about these terms through the contact form: in the profile menu, or on the public pages through the “Write to us” button at the bottom of the page.
