Questions about public wishlists
What does In the catalog mean?
It is a public personal wishlist that can appear under Catalog → Wishes. People can find it without a personal invitation, view the wishes and copy ideas. You need to sign in to Bazhanka to browse the catalog itself.
How does In the catalog differ from shared-by-link access?
You send a list shared by link to people you choose; it does not appear in the catalog. Other users can discover a public catalog list. Both can be viewed through an accessible link without an account, but reserving requires sign-in. A public list additionally needs the link generated by its owner using Share for reservations.
How many wishes are needed to appear in the catalog?
At least three wishes with non-empty names that are not marked as received. If fewer than three qualifying wishes remain, the list disappears from the catalog but stays in your account.
Which of my details are visible on a public list?
Viewers see the list’s name and description, wishes, and the owner’s name and photo. If you filled in About me, those hints may also appear on the list page. The catalog does not reveal who reserves your gifts.
Why can’t I reserve gifts on a list opened from the catalog?
Catalog browsing is for discovering ideas. To reserve a gift, ask the owner to choose Share and send you the generated link, then open it and sign in. Simply copying a catalog list’s address does not grant reservation access.
Can I copy someone else’s wishes to my own list?
Yes. On an accessible list belonging to someone else, add an individual wish to your own list or use Copy list when available. Saving requires an account. Copying creates your own copy without changing the original.
How do I remove my list from the catalog?
Change your list’s access from In the catalog to Shared by link or Only me. Your wishes stay saved. Link access keeps it available to people with the link; Only me makes it private.
Why is a public list missing from the catalog?
Check that its access is In the catalog and it contains at least three named wishes that are not marked as received. Group lists cannot be published there. A list may also be hidden following reports or while its owner’s account is frozen. If it meets the conditions but is still missing, contact us.
How do I report a public wishlist?
Sign in, open someone else’s list and choose Report. Select a reason and submit the report. This reports that list’s content; use Write to us for general questions and suggestions.
