What the Couple mode is for
It is a list for events you celebrate together: a wedding, a milestone birthday, an anniversary, a housewarming, the birth of a child. You fill it together, and the gifts are chosen and reserved by guests: friends, relatives, colleagues. Gifts for each other are not hinted at here, personal lists are for that.
How to create a list for a couple in Bazhanka
- Create a group and choose the Couple mode. Add a name and, if you like, a short description.
- Invite your partner by email or by link. Joining needs a Bazhanka account, and a couple can have only two people.
- “Our list” appears automatically with the couple. Your partner becomes its co-owner when they join.
- Add wishes together. For a separate event, such as a housewarming or a milestone birthday, create a new list: it becomes shared too.
- Share the list by link with friends and family, and they can reserve a gift for you.
What to add to a shared list
- Things for the home: appliances, dishes, textiles.
- Experiences for two: trips, dinners, workshops.
- Things for a baby, if you are preparing for a child.
- Bigger goals: furniture, a bicycle, a photo shoot.
- Small things for guests with a modest budget.
Who sees what and who reserves
Guests you send the link to see the list and reserve gifts (reserving needs an account). You both see that a wish is reserved but not who reserved it. You do not reserve in your own shared lists.
Gifts for each other are better hinted at in personal lists: there you can hide the reservation marks and keep the surprise.
